Have you ever wondered just what exactly is reflexology? Did you take a few hours of reflexology in school but don’t feel comfortable when a client mentions that they want reflexology? Do you really know relaxation techniques on the hands and/or feet? Have you ever wondered where the back and shoulder reflexes are on the hands and feet so that you can give a client a specific spot that they can work at home?
This 6 hour continuing education class will get you started. Topics to be covered are:
- Basic Reflexology History
- Complementary Therapies compared to Conventional medicine
- Benefits of reflexology
- How reflexology helps balance the body systems
- The body and how emotions effect it
- What do the feet tell you? The importance of looking at the feet before starting
- Practical work will include:
- Setting up the treatment area
- Relaxation techniques for the feet and hands
- Treating common concerns including:
- Shoulder tension
- Back pain
This class will be held in Cypress (northwest Houston) at Going Forward Reflexology, 13026 Cypress N. Houston Rd, Ste. 104, Cypress, TX 77429 on April 20th, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 4:30 PM.
Our goal is to ensure that completion of this course will provide a better understanding of reflexology and for our students to have a solid foundation of knowledge to apply when offering reflexology as an additional service. This course will not teach how to perform a full reflexology session.
